The jumpy development phase continued for nearly 4 years and when the game was put of beta in August 2018. It was renamed to Extraction in 2013 but then back to Dirty Bomb in 2014.
This is highly unlikely that many players will still invest their time in the game knowing that the game’s active development has been closed and nothing new will come out for them.ĭirty Bomb was launched as a free-to-play game two months ago officially although it has been in early access and beta phased since 2013. The servers will keep on running until there is a decent player list still playing the game and after that, the servers will be shut down as well. This was revealed by the developer Splash Damage on their official website in a post in which the developers mentioned that they are unable to keep up the costs of the game’s servers and its active development which has led them to the point that they will not be able to continue with the game’s active development.
This means that all fans who paid for the game and have been supporting the developers in the game’s development phase simply wasted their time.

Splash Damage is currently working to fix a major issue in the game and once the update is out, they will stop all active development on the game and this will happen in the coming weeks. After just two months of coming out of the beta, Splash Damage, the developer behind Dirty Bomb has announced that they are stopping live development for the game in the coming weeks.
